Beyond Space, Beneath Earth, Between Me and Myself: A COMPLEX INDIVIDUAL

Ang
basketball ang passion ko, mapaarcade man yan o totoong laro. Kahit hindi ako
ganun kagaling sa totoong laban, kinababaliwan ko ‘to. (Bah! tignan ko kung
kaya mo kong talunin sa arcade!hehe!) Masasabi kong ito ang break ko matapos
gumawa ng maraming lab reports, prob sets, sunod2 na pasaway na exams at weekly
data para sa research ko. Pakiramdam ko kasi, nakakawala ako sa  mahirap
at ‘geeky’ world ng Physics at Instru. Weird ko minsan (minsan nga ba o
madalas?) kasi pag sobrang depressed ako naglalaro ako sa mall tapos habang
naglalaro ako umiiyak ako. hehehe! Anyway, hindi lang naman laro ang habol ko.
Masaya kasi ako sa tuwing may interclass, nakakameet ako ng different
individuals na talaga namang magaling nagbasketball. Isa pa, masarap maramdaman
yung cooperation at magkaron ng mga team8s na puro kalokohan.

Ang basketball ang means ko para makatakas sa reality na ang Physics majors ay
walang SOCIAL LIFE… i mean… LIFE.

    Our
laboratory promotes an atmosphere of learning and collaboration among teachers,
graduate, and undergraduate students in building a scientific tradition in the Philippines.

Any physical
system with elements that are invariant to scale and whose emergent features
cannot be predicted from their current specifications are studied.

Neural
networks, cellular automata, and differential equations are some of the
techniques used to model complex systems.

Current
research work includes investigating the spatial and temporal distribution of
vehicles, the drop size distribution of rain and the underlying dynamics in
traffic, clogging, queuing, and business and economic interactions.

My
friends, for the past years of my life, it was change that conquered me. Difficulties, hardships, failures, heartaches and sadness molded me to be a better
person. I would never regret that I’ve lost many things because I know those
things have taught me the real lessons of life.

 No diamonds would be made if there’s no pressure
applied on it.

Ironic
life really is. Up to this moment, I still cannot believe that this is already
me. The kid you’ve once thought to be ‘gago’. Things may be hard for you to believe
just the way that I’ve doubt myself too. But let me tell you who really Ghing
is…

Complex – that is how I could define myself.
It is not because I use to think complicated things but because I was born with
a complicated nature of life. I have lots of companions but few friends. I have
parents, brothers and relatives but I do not know what family is. There were lots of intelligent people around me, but only few have understood. I laugh and
smile but I don’t know what happiness is. I loved but failed to be loved. This
is me – the complex individual.
